ImageAfter starting his career in retail management and spending five years with Kimberly Clark (Kleenex). Mr. Butterworth joined Cussons (Imperial Leather) for twelve years, initially in account management. Negotiating with the major UK retailers, before moving into International sales and marketing initially heading up their Irish operations. Regional development roles followed, creating an Eastern European operation for the company and initial Chinese operation. A similar international business development role was undertaken for WD-40 before setting up his own company.

Following the development of operations that sourced, developed and launched new concepts and products into both the UK and Eastern Europe, Mr. Butterworth set up a brand consultancy company, which saw Millepede’s initial UK operation become one of his clients.

Mr. Butterworth went on to develop the strategies and branding that formed the basis of Millepede stock market launch. Operating as the companies Global Marketing Director before becoming Managing Director in July 2004.

Mr Butterworth stepped down from the main board in December 2006 to focus on the commercial development of the company.
